Requirements for SAS-Hosted Webcasts

Windows Media Player

SAS webcasts require the Windows Media Player (Version 7 or higher) from Microsoft to deliver audio and video.

Some on-demand webcasts require Macromedia Flash Player (Version 7 or higher).

Multimedia Computer

If you've got a fairly new computer, you should have no problems tuning in. Of course, you'll need to hear the audio. Your computer should have:

  • CPU -- Pentium 500 Mhz (or greater)
  • RAM -- 64 MB
  • Video -- SVGA 800x600 screen resolution or higher, 65535 colors
  • Audio -- SoundBlaster audio card (or equivalent)
  • Speakers or Headphones

Browser

You'll need a 4.0 (or higher) browser from Netscape or Microsoft. To find out which version you have, click on your browser's help button and look for the version number. If you don't see 4.0 (or higher) then:

Download Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Download Netscape Navigator.
