Get Set for Discovery 2008
Discovery 2008 is the new name for the JMP User Conference, but it's still all about exploring new dimensions in modeling and data visualization. Join us June 16-17 at SAS headquarters in Cary, North Carolina, to hear how users from corporate, academic, government and research organizations are visualizing data with SAS and JMP. You'll get to network with peers from a variety of backgrounds and be the first to hear what's next in the evolution of our statistical discovery software.
NCSU Research: In Habitats, Houses or Tents, Lifestyle Affects Health
Using JMP Genomics, researchers at North Carolina State University find that lifestyle and environment affect genetic expression -- and thus disease patterns -- in both red wolves and humans. Read about the research conducted by NCSU PhD candidates Erin Kennerly and Youssef Idaghdour (pictured here), who show how sometimes one good idea just leads to another.
JMP® Integration with SAS® Wows the Crowd
At the recent SAS Global Forum in San Antonio, the audience responds with oohs and aahs to a demonstration of SAS data visualization using the BI dashboard and JMP. John Sall, SAS co-founder and Executive Vice President, and lead architect of JMP software, talks about that powerful new integration of JMP and SAS. (And because the topic is data visualization, there is, appropriately, an accompanying video!)
Arlington and Atlanta Seminars Address Public Sector Needs
For government employees who want to make better, faster decisions on the fly, JMP's new dedicated federal government team is offering breakfast and hands-on learning in Arlington, VA, on April 16 and in Atlanta on April 22. Guided by JMP's Dynamic Data Explorers (Dara Hammond and Hope Walker, shown in the cartoon here) you'll see the latest techniques and tools in data visualization and explore opportunities you didn't even know existed. Come for breakfast, and leave ready to take on the day.
Free JMP® Genomics Web Training
If you're new to JMP Genomics -- or if you just want to find out what's new in our software -- sign up now for complimentary training delivered live to your desktop. Getting Started with JMP Genomics is a new Webcast series that will launch this month. The first Webcast on April 16 will focus on expression analysis. On April 30, the topic will be genetic analysis. Go to the JMP Genomics Live Webcasts section at the link below to sign up or to find out more.
See JMP® Run at SAS® Users Groups
See for yourself how JMP and SAS integration is bringing point-and-click access to vital data preparation, graphical and analytic functions. If you live near the Twin Cities, Chicago, Cleveland, Detroit or Milwaukee, plan now to attend regional SAS users group meetings this spring and summer. You'll learn how JMP and SAS are combining powerful analytics and interactive data visualization to let you see exactly what your data is trying to tell you.
Save the Date for Innovators' Summit
Mark your calendars for Sept. 24-26. We're taking the second annual Innovators' Summit to the Sofitel San Francisco Bay for some California dreamin' about ways to make analytic excellence the rule, not the exception, across any organization. If you attended the inaugural summit last year, you understand the kinds of innovative ideas that bubble up when you bring together experts in data analysis and visualization from the worlds of academia and business for presentations, panel discussions and one-on-one conversations with attendees. Take a peek at our 2008 plans, and put your name on the interest list to receive registration details!
Who Knew Statistics Could Be This Fun?
Get ready to play ball with JMP. Just in time for baseball season is a new interactive data story to show what JMP can do with baseball data.
Here's the scenario for the data story: You're a baseball fan whose fantasy baseball league is about to hold its draft. You use JMP to analyze data on the top 200 professional baseball players of 2007 to answer such questions as:
