This collection of cases illustrates the practical application of statistical tools to business problems. Each case provides a business context, data, complete JMP illustration along with a summary of statistical insights and managerial implications. The data set used in each case study is available for download as well.

Each case study includes a PDF file and one or more data sets. Click on the links to download, or use the link below to download more than one case at a time.
Case Study PDF files
Included in each PDF of a case is an overview, the question or problem that can be addressed with data, a description of the data set and the variables used, an analysis, summary, and excercises for further study.
Data Sets
These contain the data used in the case studies. Use the JMP file to walk through the statistical analyses covered in the case study. Data sets are downloadable from the JMP File Exchange. You will need to create a SAS.com profile in order to download.
About the Cases
These case studies were developed by Marlene Smith of the University of Colorado at Denver for use in a one-semester course for MBA students. Although they are heavily regression-based, the collection contains cases appropriate to other kinds of students and courses.
