…using the transparency setting uncover the density in your plots? Sometimes, if you’re working with lots of data, your plots might appear to be a big blob of points. This makes it's hard to spot important patterns and relationships. Normally, a single data point carries as much visual weight as many data points that are very close together. Using the transparency setting will help you visualize data density. Just right-click in a graph and choose Transparency from the menu. Then, pick a value for how transparent to make the points. After this, watch as JMP lightens the layers of points and gives you a better view of your data.
