Call for Papers Open Until March 14 »
You have about a week and half left to submit a Discovery Summit paper or poster abstract for consideration. The conference steering committee seeks short abstracts – just 150-200 words – demonstrating how you've used JMP to solve a real problem. If your abstract is selected, you will be invited to present at Discovery Summit 2014 at SAS world headquarters in September. If it helps to see what people presented last year, visit jmp.com/summit2013. You can also check out suggested topics, at the JMP Discussion Forum. The call for papers closes Friday, March 14, at 5 p.m. ET.

What’s New in JMP® 11 »
"JMP 11 is full of new capabilities that streamline your work," says What's New in JMP 11 presenter Brady Brady. "Here are some of my favorites: On-the-fly variable transformations save time and keep you in the analysis flow without making you go back to the data table. A new Columns Viewer lets you search and sift through thousands of columns with ease. And to share JMP dynamic reports with non-users of JMP on computers and mobile devices, I love the new Interactive HTML reports." For more from Brady on JMP 11, join his live webcast March 13 or April 17.

Have you tried... »
... creating a new categorical column to name points in a graph? This trick shows you how to create a new categorical column in the data table based on selections in the graph. Select interesting groups of data points in the graph, and without navigating away from the analysis window, click Rows > Row Selection > Name Selection in a Column. In the corresponding dialog box, create new labels for the selected group of points, and also the unselected ones. This is a quick way to create binary variables or meaningful subsets with custom labels.
