See What You Could Do With JMP® in 10 Minutes »
Is it faster to write code or to use JMP to perform statistical analyses? When a researcher friend argued that writing code would beat using a GUI analysis program like JMP, Academic Ambassador Julian Parris took the challenge. Julian and his friend agreed on a data set, as well as analyses, graphics and tables to create. They both started at the same time, used no scripts or saved analyses, and set a time limit of 10 minutes. "It was a blowout victory for JMP. By the time she adapted code for the first set of regressions (and finished the requisite data restructuring), I had completed everything, with five minutes to spare," Julian said. He recorded what he did for the challenge but assigned himself additional outputs to push the limit of what he could do in 10 minutes. It's impressive. Watch the video.

Have you tried... »
… auto-filling categorical data in JMP or quickly repeating a sequence of data? If you're creating brand-new data tables in JMP, you're probably entering categorical data. This can be a time-consuming process, but JMP enables you to accomplish this task rapidly, repeating data in cells or even a sequence of data. Simply right-click in a cell entry or multiple cells, and use the Fill option to make this magic happen. Watch the quick steps in our video and then try it yourself. This little trick will save you a ton of time.
