One Dim Scatter Plot
![]() |
|
Description: This script produces a one-dimensional scatter plot. It is an alternative to a dot plot or histogram as a way to visualize the distribution of values along a number line. In cases where there are many observations, jitter is added to displace the markers slightly to get a better sense of the true density of points.
Instructions: Open a data table with the data to be plotted first, then open and run this script. Select the data column to be plotted from the dialog and click OK. Note this plot responds to all of the usual graph commands. Click the Jitter button to see the density better in cases with may observations.
Requirements: An open data table.
Note: No support shall be provided for any JMP scripting language code furnished on this site.
