Statistical FAQs

How do I replicate the runs of a design?

Version 4 and higher: Replicates can be requested within JMP's DOE platform. Enter the number of replicates desired in the Replicates Output Option.

Version 3: In general, this is done within the data table after constructing the basic design. Once you have a data table showing the basic design, use your mouse to select any runs of the design (rows of the table) that you want to replicate, then select Copy from the Edit menu. Now, click in the row count section of the upper-left-hand box in the data table to clear any selections. Select Paste at End from the Edit menu to add copies of the previously-selected rows to the end of the table. Select Paste at End from the Edit menu repeatedly if you want to add more replications of these runs. This method can be used to replicate the entire design if desired.

For 2-level designs, note that when you generate the list of designs for a given number of factors there are usually designs labeled "Repeated Factorial" which are multiple replicates of full-factorial designs.
