Distribution Properties for Components
Each component in a Reliability Block Diagram can be assigned a Distribution property. For a description of distributions, see Distributions in Life Distribution.
Here are some of the available distributions:

Configuration Settings
The Configuration settings appears in the Profiler panel by default. For each Configuration property type, you must enter required inputs.

Example Configuration - Weibull

Select a component’s shape to view its specific Configuration settings.
•
To view all Configuration settings, deselect any shapes by clicking in the Workspace.
•
For each component in the diagram:
‒
For specified components, select Omit to disable the component (that is, the component fails).
‒
From the Distribution list, select the appropriate property from the drop-list. See Distribution Properties for Components for details.
‒
For each component, enter that parameter values for the selected Distribution property.
‒
For Series and Parallel components, enter N (the total number of components contained in the component).
‒
For K out of N components, enter K (the minimum number of components that must function) and N (the total number of components contained in the component).
‒
For Knot components, enter the Minimum Available Dependences.
Enter Nonparametric Distribution Data
The Nonparametric Distribution property provides a means for approximating an arbitrary distribution. Enter data or import a file containing a large set of data. This data is used to approximate the distribution.

After selecting the Distribution property of Nonparametric, click .
The Provide Data window appears, enabling you to either enter data or import a data file.

In JMP, open the file that contains the data to import.

In the Provide Data window, click Import.
The Select Data Table window appears.

From the Data Table list, select the Data Table.
5.
Click OK.
6.
In the Provide Data window, click OK.
The nonparametric distribution data is imported and used to calculate the Distribution profiler.
