The simplex lattice design is a space filling design that creates a triangular grid of runs. The design is the set of all combinations where the factors’ values are i / m. i is an integer from 0 to m such that the sum of the factors is 1.

Three-Factor Simplex Lattice Designs for Factor Levels 3, 4, and 5 shows the runs for three-factor simplex lattice designs of degrees 3, 4, and 5, with their corresponding geometric representations. In contrast to the simplex centroid design, the simplex lattice design does not necessarily include the centroid.
JMP Design Table for Simplex Lattice with Five Variables, Order (Degree) 3 lists the runs for a simplex lattice of degree 3 for five effects. In the five-level example, the runs creep across the hyper-triangular region and fill the space in a grid-like manner.
