This example uses Big Class, which is installed with the Graph Builder app. If you previously deleted the table, tap Settings on the iPad screen, tap Graph Builder, and then slide Restore Original Data Table to ON.
1.
Tap Big Class in the Gallery.
2.
On the first graph, weight vs. height, tap Filter above the graph.

Tap sex.
The sex variable moves to the top of the variable list. Below the graph, the two levels F and M appear. The orange triangle on the tab above the graph indicates that the filter was added.

Tap F below the graph to show data only for females.

Tap weight.
The weight variable moves below sex, the first variable that you selected. Because weight is a continuous variable, a slider appears below the graph.

Tap weight and sex to remove the filters and return the graph to its original state.

Tap Big Class in the Gallery.
2.
Tap the second graph, Mean(height) & Mean(weight) vs. age.
3.
Tap Filter.
4.
Tap sex, and then tap F below the graph.

Tap age, and then tap 13, 14, and 15 below the graph.

Tap age to remove the filter.
7.
Tap sex, tap F, and then tap M.

Download US Demographics and tap Open in Graph Builder when prompted.

Tap the first tab, State colored by Physical Activity.

Tap Filter, tap Region in the variable list, and then tap W below the graph.

Tap Oregon, Utah, and Washington.

Select the Conditional red triangle menu option to filter columns by subcategory (for example, states within regions).
