Users groups: Share, explore and learn

Science or engineering is your first love, and JMP® is a close second. That’s why you should join a JMP users group if you haven’t already – to share, explore and learn best practices in data exploration in your field.

JMP users groups offer scientists, engineers and other data explorers who use JMP a forum to connect with colleagues and peers inside and outside of their organizations to share and learn best practices in data exploration. Engaging with a JMP users group gives JMP users the opportunity to:

  • Practice their presentation skills in the comfortable environment of peer meetings discussing topics they enjoy.
  • Enjoy discounted registration fees to Discovery Summit conferences around the world.
  • Learn about new JMP products, capabilities and services as soon as they become available.
  • Interact with JMP technical experts and software developers one-on-one and influence future direction of the product.
  • Expand their use of JMP by learning new coding and analysis techniques.
  • Find out what techniques peers are using to solve their toughest problems.

If you’ve been active in a users group in the past and would like to become active again, please reconnect. If you’re new to users groups, check the list of users groups to find one and join.

Registration for Discovery Summit Opens Soon

Next week, registration will open for Discovery Summit, which will take place Sept. 19-23 at SAS world headquarters in Cary, NC. There’s no better time to learn from fellow JMP users and to grow your network of analytically minded people.

You’ll also be among the first to see JMP 13 in action. In addition to thought-provoking plenary and breakout sessions, opportunities to meet the developers, and time for networking, you may take pre- or post-conference training courses led by SAS Education or tutorials led by JMP developers.

Have you tried ...

…joining tables in JMP? Joining tables that are open in JMP is a common task for collecting and combining data from different sources or observation dates. You may want to customize your join further by matching specific columns or even leaving out a few columns. Watch this demo to see how to customize a join in JMP.
