Learn something new at Discovery Summit

Discovery Summit offers immediately practical and relevant content to help you explore data and solve problems with JMP®. Past attendees cite breakout sessions as the most important reason to attend. Led by experienced JMP users who have successfully overcome big business challenges, these talks rely on real-life case studies to demonstrate best practices.

In addition to the conference, you may register for training courses and developer tutorials. Training courses, led by SAS Education instructors, combine lectures, software demonstrations, question-and-answer sessions and computer workshops for an interactive learning experience. Tutorials, led by JMP developers, are a rare chance to go in-depth on specific topics with the experts themselves.

We hope you’ll join us for a full week of learning, Sept. 19-23 at SAS world headquarters.

Mark your calendars and ready your abstracts

If you’d like to join us next spring for our annual JMP Discovery Summit Europe, it’s time to begin planning ahead. The Summit will be held March 20-23, 2017 in Prague.

Has JMP helped you solve challenging analytical questions? Create an innovative new modeling tool? Are you using JMP to push the boundaries of established ways of thinking in your field? The call for papers will open Tuesday, July 26 – so give it some thought over the summer holidays.

Whether your concept is beginning or advanced, we welcome you to share how analytics enhances your work.

Here’s how you can get ready for Discovery:

  • Bookmark the Discovery Summit Europe 2017 page and stay tuned for more details.
  • Get ready to submit an abstract when the call for papers opens on July 26.
  • Begin thinking about opportunities for collaboration with others who are applying analytics in creative, forward-looking ways.

JMP® in 60 seconds

Have you been asked why you use JMP and want to share information about JMP with your colleagues? Or maybe you’ve seen JMP on your computer and wondered what it is. This 60-second video explains it all.

Have you tried ...

…using a subscript in the Formula Editor to look up a value? A quick way to look up a value in a JMP data table is by using a formula applied to a column with an IF statement. To look up a particular row, or a particular cell of data, in a column you would use a subscript after the Column name. This approach can be tedious, however, when the If clause is long or complex. Watch this video to learn how to reference a particular cell of data by using a subscript in the Formula Editor and a slightly more advanced JMP function called Loc Sorted.
