Submit your abstract for Discovery Summit Europe 2018

Now that the call for papers is open, it’s time to start thinking about what you’d like to present at Discovery Summit Europe, March 14-15, 2018 in Frankfurt, Germany. You have a unique perspective on the use of analytics in your field that could leave fellow attendees inspired and better prepared to do their jobs and implement sound strategies.

Submit a paper or poster abstract that describes how you’ve solved real problems with JMP. If yours is chosen, you’ll present at the conference. For ideas, review past presentation materials in the JMP User Community.

Vic Strecher also in lineup of Discovery Summit speakers

Another fascinating speaker to look forward to at the Discovery Summit conference is Vic Strecher, a behaviorial scientist at the University of Michigan School of Public Health. When his daughter Julia died at age 19, he reframed his life's mission and tackled it with abandon. His purpose? Helping others find their purpose. And Strecher has devised a scalable solution for doing so—a mobile app that acts as a digital health coach. It uses data, predictive modeling and mobile technology to help people align their daily actions with core values and goals. He has become well-versed in the science and philosophy of life purpose.

“I’m not a statistician, but I’m a user of statistics,” says Strecher. “And [JMP] helped me visualize and use statistics in a meaningful way.”

Join us October 17-20 at Discovery Summit in St. Louis to hear Strecher discuss his use of statistics and JMP to help people find their purpose.

Learning Opportunities: Finding Important Predictors

Di Michelson’s new course, JMP® Software: Finding Important Predictors, is going to be rolling into St. Louis Union Station this October. Read her blog about what you’ll learn, then register for Discovery Summit and save 25 percent off the inaugural offering of this course at the conference!

Have you tried...

...automatically adding a time stamp to new data in a table? If you are recording daily activity in a JMP data table, you may want to populate the date automatically, or you may need a time stamp that represents the time when new data has been entered. Watch this video and try adding a time stamp to newly entered data.

See JMP Tips and Tricks for more short videos on using JMP.
