Online Marketing Permission and Release

This Online Marketing Permission and Release applies to your participation in an event organized by SAS Institute Inc. or its affiliates (the “Event”).

License Grant

You agree to give SAS Institute Inc. and its affiliates, licensees, and assigns (“SAS”) perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free permission to use your name, voice, image, likeness, text of interviews, presentations, statements, feedback, and performances photographed, filmed, or otherwise recorded in connection with the Event, along with any associated materials provided to SAS (the “Materials”), for any lawful purpose related to the marketing of the Event or SAS’ products or services, with or without attribution and without right of prior approval of the use.

SAS may publish, copy, distribute, display and otherwise use any of the Materials, including translations or excerpts, in any media now known or hereafter developed. These uses and media may include, without limitation, live-streaming and recording for online distribution, posting photos or video clips on social media or YouTube, and placement on sas.com or other SAS web properties.

SAS will have no obligation to use any of the Materials. You acknowledge SAS has given you good and valuable consideration, such as the opportunity to be published, in exchange for this permission. This permission applies to you and will continue to bind anyone who may take over your care and/or property in the future.

Warranties and Release

You warrant that you have the rights to grant this permission and that the Materials you provide will not infringe upon any patents, copyrights, trademarks, or any other rights of third parties.

You agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless SAS and all other persons using the Materials under these terms from and against any liability arising from that use, including but not limited to claims for invasion of privacy, defamation, or right of publicity.

Media and Attendees

You understand and acknowledge that media or other event attendees may publicly report on the Event and your presentation, and that not all event attendees are affiliated with SAS. You agree SAS is not responsible for the actions of these third parties. If applicable, you are responsible for notifying Event attendees of any usage restrictions related to your presentation.

Privacy

For participants in certain jurisdictions, this permission constitutes your consent under applicable privacy and data protection law for SAS to store, copy, and use Materials that include personal data relating to you, subject to the SAS Privacy Statement. You may contact the SAS Privacy Office with questions or to withdraw your consent at any time by writing to privacyrights@sas.com.

Acceptance

By registering to participate in the Event, or otherwise signifying your acceptance, you agree to this Marketing Permission and Release and any other terms of participation presented by SAS concerning the Event.

Minors

If the participant is under 18 (or a minor under the laws of your jurisdiction), a parent or legal guardian must accept these terms on your behalf.
