Byron Wingerd helps people understand how to apply data science and statistics to learn more from their data to make better decisions in the life sciences space. Before joining JMP, Wingerd worked in biologics manufacturing for the pharmaceutical industry. He was a Process Engineer for Merck. As a Senior Scientist at Emergent BioSolutions, he was responsible for vaccine production and development. In that role, he used Six Sigma methodology for improving vaccine manufacturing processes. Wingerd also was the subject matter expert for the company’s BioThrax vaccine.

Rashmi Deshpande, Senior Systems Engineer

Rashmi Deshpande is a seasoned statistician with over 11 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry, specializing in statistical applications across manufacturing, analytical sciences & technology, and quality control. She has strong experience in working collaboratively with cross-functional teams and effectively communicating complex statistical insights to diverse audiences - including management, scientists, and regulatory bodies.
