Julian Parris is the Director of User Acquisition at JMP Statistical Discovery LLC, a SAS company specializing in interactive desktop software for dynamic data visualization and analysis.

In this role, Julian is charged with bringing the power of JMP to scientists, engineers and other data explorers who are making a difference in the world.

Before joining JMP, Julian was a professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) where he used JMP to teach intermediate and advanced statistics and research methods to students in the social sciences. He holds a master’s degree and PhD in Experimental Psychology from UCSD, where he studied various aspects of human behavior as they relate to interactions with computers, evidence and inference. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UCLA.
