Ronald Snee

Ronald D. Snee, PhD, is President of Snee Associates LLC. He provides guidance to senior executives in their pursuit of improved business performance using strategy of experimentation, Quality by Design, Lean Six Sigma and other improvement approaches that produce bottom-line results. His work focuses on the pharmaceutical and biotech industries and includes deployment of process improvement initiatives, strategic planning, project selection and process management. He also serves as an adjunct professor at Temple University School of Pharmacy and Rutgers University Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering.

Snee began his career as a practicing statistician at DuPont after serving as an assistant professor of statistics at Rutgers University. During his 24 years at DuPont, he progressed from being an internal statistical consultant to managing statisticians, software engineers and a variety of engineering specialists. Later, he held corporate-level positions in R&D planning and continuous process improvement. His work at DuPont was recognized with five major awards.

He received a bachelor’s degree in mathematics from Washington and Jefferson College and a master’s degree and PhD from Rutgers University in applied and mathematical statistics. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association, American Society of Quality and American Association for the Advancement of Science. His work has been recognized with 20 major awards and honors, including ASA’s Deming Lecture Award, ASQ’s Shewhart and Grant Medals, and Academician in the International Academy for Quality. He is a frequent speaker and has co-authored four books and more than 225 papers in the fields of statistics, quality, performance improvement and management.
