LSMeans Effects
Indicate effects by which to construct least squares means (LSMeans) in this field.
Note the following points about LSMeans Effects:
When the experimental design is balanced, LSMeans are the same as simple effect means.
When the experimental design is unbalanced, LSMeans are estimates of effect means that would have been observed if the experimental design had been balanced.
The differences between LSMeans form hypotheses of interest for which to compute power. You can specify which differences to use on the Test tab.
Important: LSMeans Effects must also be listed as Fixed Effects, and all variables comprising them must be listed as Class Variables.
To Specify LSMeans Effects:
*
*
*
To specify interactions between effect, type an asterisk (*) between the effects. For example, assuming A and B are listed as Class Variables, typing A B A*B specifies variables A and B, and the interaction between A and B, as effects.
*
A vertical bar (|) can be used to create main effects and interactions. For example, typing A|B is the same as typing A B A*B.
