Linkage Group Variable

Use this field to specify the required variable whose values determine linkage group membership for each marker.

If the Input SAS Data Set was produced from the Recombination and Linkage Groups process, this variable might be named LGroup.

Note: This variable is required to run the process and can be specified from either the Input SAS Data Set or from the Order Data Set.

To Specify a Linkage Group Variable:

Specify the input data set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable whose values specify linkage group membership.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Linkage Group Variable field, as shown below:
