Variable By Which to Merge Annotation Data

The Variables By Which to Merge Annotation Data field indicates the variables from the input data set by which to merge annotation. The variables specified here must be present in both the Input SAS Data Set and Annotation SAS Data Set.

To Specify One or More Variables by Which to Merge Annotation Data:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable(s) to be used to key the merge. Left-click a single variable, or hold down Ctrl while left-clicking multiple variables.

Click to add the highlighted variable(s) to the Variables by Which to Merge Annotation Data field, as shown below:

If left blank, these are assumed to be the same as the annotation merge variables.
