Modeling Distribution

Use this option to specify the modelig distribution used for your data.

The following link functions are used according to the Modeling Distribution selected:

Distribution	Link Function
Poisson	Log
Generalized Poisson	Log
Negative Binomial	Log

By default, columns in the data set are assumed to follow a Poisson distribution and counts analyzed using PROC GLIMMIX. The table above shows the link function that is used in PROC GLIMMIX according to what distribution is selected or used by default.

Note: This option is available only when Count data is specified to Model Data As:. When Continuous is specified to Model Data As:, the Distribution of Data field is inactive. Columns in the data set are assumed to follow a Gaussian (Normal) distribution and are analyzed using PROC MIXED.
