Linkage Group Variable 1

Use this field to specify the required variable whose values determine the linkage group membership for each marker. These values are merged to match with those in the Linkage Group Variable 2 specified on the Linkage Map 2 tab.

Important: The Linkage Group Variable 1 and Linkage Group Variable 2 must be of the same type (either both character or both numeric).

To Specify a Linkage Group Variable 1:

Specify an Input Linkage Map SAS Data Set.

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variable whose values specify linkage group membership.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Linkage Group Variable 1 field, as shown below:
