Note the following process-specific information:

Process	Note
Affymetrix Integrated Genome Browser	Select the variable in your data set that represents the starting location for the chromosomal feature of interest. One numeric variable should be selected in this field.
Chromosome Color Theme	Select a variable indicating the start position of chromosome cytobands, gene regions, or other chromosome details. It is recommended that the width of the bands defined by Start and End be large enough to enable visual distinction in the plots.
Track Gene Text	Select a variable indicating the gene start position.
UCSC Genome Browser Link	Select the variable in your data set that represents the starting location for the chromosomal feature of interest. One numeric variable should be selected in this field.

To Specify a Start Position Variable:

Specify a Chromosome Text Data Set, Chromosome Text File, Input SAS Data Set, Text Data Set, or Text File (depending on the process and version).

The Available Variables field is populated with variables from the specified data set.

Left-click a variable from the Available Variables field.

Click to add the selected variable to the Start field.
