Probe Normalization

Use this feature to specify whether to perform probe normalization.

Description

None

No normalization is performed.

Positive Control

Normalizes the data to account for the overall efficiency of hybridization and recovery in each lane.

The procedure for normalizing the data is as follows:

The geometric mean/mean (specified using Positive Control Method) of the positive controls for each sample is calculated and used to calculate average geometric mean/mean across all samples.
This average is divided by the geometric mean/mean of each sample, to compute an individual scaling factor for each sample.
The counts in each sample are then multiplied by the scaling factor to generate the normalized data.
