Effect Estimate or Direction Variable
Use this field to select the variable containing effects, either used for determining sign of the Z-score when study p-values are combined with sample sizes as the weights, or for providing the effects whose inverse- variance weighted averages are used for calculating a test statistic.
Important: This variable should be named consistently across all of the data sets. If different variable names are used, the additional names must be specified on the Other Variable Names tab.
To Specify an Effect Estimate or Direction Variable:

The variables in the specified data sets are displayed in the Available Variables field.
