Choose the selection direction for the similarity

Use this option to select progeny that are either very similar to the recurrent parent or are very dissimilar to the recurrent parent.

•

Choose high values to select individuals with high similarity to the recurrent parent.

•

Choose low values to select individuals with low similirarity to the recurrent parent.

Note: Only those progenies in the selected subset are crossed to produce the next breeding generation.

To Specify High/Low Similarity:

Make sure that the Backcross Parental Lines Variable in the Input SAS Data Set has been specified.

Select Backcross as the multi-generational mating type.

Check the Select simulated progenies based on similarity to parents check box.
