Reference Variable to Be Applied as the Baseline

Use this field to specify one variable as the reference baseline for normalization .

All TMM scaling factors of the other sample variables are derived based on the selected reference baseline.

If this field is left blank , the average (taken after logarithm transformation ) is applied as the reference baseline.

To Specify a Reference Baseline Variable:

Specify an Input SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the variables to use as the baseline.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Reference Variable to be applied as the baseline field, as shown below:
