PROC MIXED Estimation Method

Use the drop-down menu to specify the estimation method to be used for the covariance parameters of continuous trait types and a model that includes random effects . PROC MIXED is used to perform the estimation.

Method:	Definition:
ML	The ML specification performs maximum likelihood and is the default method..
REML	The REML specification performs residual (restricted) maximum likelihood.

Refer to the SAS PROC MIXED documentation for additional details.

To Specify the Estimation Method:

Make sure that the trait under investigation is continuous.

Select the desired method using the drop-down menu.
