Population Variable

Use this field to specify the variable that defines groups for comparison. Genetic distance are computed between each distinct value of this variable and/or Wright's F statistics (Wright, 1951). Wright’s F statistics are calculated at each marker as well as over all of the markers.

To Specify the Population Variable:

Specify the Input SAS Data Set .

All of the variables in the specified input data set are displayed in the Available Variables field.

Examine the list of available variables.

Highlight the desired variable.

Click to add the highlighted variable to the Population Variable field, as shown below:
