Random Effects

Use this field to specify the variables or effects to be modeled as random effects .

Specified effects are included in the MIXED procedure RANDOM statement for continuous traits .

If the Type of Tests to Perform is Binary , Nominal , or Ordinal , specified options are included in the GLIMMIX procedure RANDOM statement in the Random Statement Options field.

To Specify One or More Random Effects:

Type the desired effects or variables in the text field. Separate each with a space .

For example, to use the variables, Qtrt2 , Qtrt3 , and Qtrt4 , as random effects, type Qtrt2 Qtrt3 Qtrt4 in the text box.

Note the spaces between the variable names.
