HapMap Input Engine
The HapMap Input Engine imports genetic marker data from the HapMap website into a SAS data set containing genotypes, and a map data set containing marker information.
What do I need?
One genotype file is needed to run this process. The genotypes_chr1_CEU_r23_nr.b36_fwd.txt file, shown below, was downloaded from the HapMap website, unzipped, and saved to the HapMap directory. The HapMap directory, which was created for this example, was saved in the JMP Genomics Sample Data folder.
The genotypes_chr1_CEU_r23_nr.b36_fwd.txt file is a tab-delimited .txt file listing the genotypes at 307659 non-redundant loci on the forward strand of a portion of human chromosome 1. Genotypes were taken from 90 individuals residing in Utah who have ancestors from Northern and Western Europe.
For detailed information about the files and data sets used or created by JMP Life Sciences software, see Files and Data Sets.
Output/Results
The output data sets generated by this process are listed in a Results window. Refer to the HapMap Input Engine output documentation for detailed descriptions.
