Design Space Profiler

Use the Design Space Profiler to explore the impact of factor limits on the expected rate of future runs passing specifications (in-spec rate) of the responses. To determine the in-spec rate of the responses, thousands of points that are uniformly distributed through the factor space are simulated. Then, the number of simulated points that produce a response, or set of responses, that are within the response specification limits are counted to calculate the in-spec rate.

Notes:

The Design Space Profiler requires specification limits on the responses. If the response columns do not have specification limits defined in a column property, you are prompted to enter specification limits for each response when you select Design Space Profiler option.

If there are spec limits in a column property of the X variables, these are set as the initial factor operating limits in the Design Space Profiler.

The Design Space Profiler is not designed to handle mixture factors.
