Hide and Show Outlines in Formulas

By default, JMP outlines specific terms within the formula. This is called boxing. Boxing is useful when you want to select and modify a specific portion of a formula or need to determine the order of evaluation that takes place.

To turn boxing on or off, follow these steps:

1. Build a formula.

2. Click the red triangle next to the keypad and select Show Boxing.

When a check appears on the menu beside Show Boxing, the outline appears in the formula. When a check does not appear, the outline does not appear.
