Sample Data

The examples in Discovering JMP and other JMP documentation use sample data tables. The default location on Windows for the sample data is:

C:\Program Files\JMP\JMP\19\Samples\Data

C:\Program Files\JMP\JMPPro\19\Samples\Data

Apple macOS sample data is installed in /Library/Application Support/JMP/19/Samples/Data.

The Sample Index groups the data tables by category, and is searchable by table name and table description.

Open a JMP Sample Data Table

1. Select Help > Sample Index.

2. Click the Discovering JMP category.
The data tables used in this document are displayed.

3. Click the name of a data table to see a preview of the data.

4. Double-click the name of the data table to open it in JMP.

Sample Import Data

You can use files from other applications to learn how to import data into JMP.

The default location on Windows for the sample import data is:

C:\Program Files\JMP\JMP\19\Samples\Import Data

C:\Program Files\JMP\JMPPro\19\Samples\Import Data
