Performance lags are experienced when typing, scrolling, using drag & drop in platforms, or display issues are found in JMP®

Users might experience the following issues while using JMP:

  • Lag when scrolling through JMP data tables
  • Keystroke recording lags when typing in various areas of JMP
  • Journal drop-downs or preferences that overlap
  • Inability to click on items, or drag & drop within in platforms, such as Fit Model
  • Inability to add columns or rows to JMP data tables

These issues are typically experienced when:

  1. Running JMP 15.2.0. To fix this issue update to JMP 15.2.1 via Help > About JMP > Check for Updates.
  2. The preference Enable hardware-accelerated graphics is selected (enabled). The workaround is to disable this preference: Navigate to File ► Preferences ► Windows Specific ► Enable hardware-accelerated graphics. Deselect the preference and then click Apply and restart JMP.
  3. If the issue persists after following the before mentioned workaround. You may be running an Iris Xe Graphics card driver version earlier than Intel's 30.0.100.9684 driver. Intel has provided an update (30.0.100.9684 and higher) to help address display issues when hardware-accelerated graphics are enabled. You might need to uninstall the OEM Dell drivers first before applying the update. Caution: It is recommended that you consult with an IT professional before applying this update. SAS does not assume responsibility for any adverse effects that could arise after installing this driver.
