… Using the Modeling Utilities submenu under Columns? JMP 12 has a powerful submenu called Modeling Utilities, which includes utilities for Exploring Outliers, Exploring Missing Values and Screen Predictors. These utilities are designed to help you in the data cleaning and preprocessing stages of data analysis. Each utility has powerful exploratory tools to give you a more thorough understanding of your data.

With Modeling Utilities, you can explore outliers in both the univariate and multivariate cases. You can explore and impute missing values in your data. You can screen high-dimensional data for strong predictors. And with JMP Pro, you can create a validation column to divide the data into training, validation and test sets. Watch the video to see a short demo of each of these four utilities and then explore them for yourself in JMP 12.
