Tips and Tricks
Have you tried... »

… using Selection Filtering in JMP 12? Interactivity has always been an underlying feature of JMP to enable discovery. Options such as the Local Data Filter and Column Switcher allow you to subset or change analysis variables interactively. Now you can use a JMP graph to filter your reports and graphics. The Selection Filter in JMP 12 enhances interactive report generation by using one set of graphs to filter the selection in another set of graphs.

Many workflow scenarios involve a lot of linked analyses. For example, you may want to see a distribution of values in a column before deciding which subset to analyze. In previous versions of JMP, you could perform this process manually by creating subset tables and multiple reports. This manual approach can lead to lots of windows for data tables and reports, and requires mental bookkeeping to understand the analysis.

Using Selection Filters in JMP 12, you can configure this type of workflow interactively and save it for future use and sharing with colleagues. Watch the video to learn more.
