List of threshold values for progeny selection

Use this feature to specify a list of numerical thresholds values indicating the cut-off for the traits.

The threshold value for each trait is used to select a subset of best simulated progenies. Only the progenies in the selected subset are crossed to produce the next breeding generation.

You must enter a threshold value for each of the Scoring Code Files specified. Numbers in the list must be in the same order in which the scoring code files specified and must be separated from each other by blank spaces.

Use a dot (".", without quotes) for the traits for which you do not want to include in the selection. .

To Specify the Threshold Values:

8 Specify the Scoring Code Files.
8 Make sure that the Simulate progenies, Simulate multiple generations, and Select best simulated progenies to cross check boxes are checked.
8 Make sure that Threshold Selection is specified as the Progeny Selection Method.
8 Decide the threshold for the traits associated with the first listed scoring code file.
8 Enter the correct designation value (or a dot) in the text box. Repeat for each subsequent scoring code file. Be sure to leave a blank space between each designation.

In the example shown here, three Scoring Code Files were specified. Suppose we want to use only the traits in the first and third files but ignore the traits in the second file. Additionally, suppose the threshold for first and third traits are -1.5 and 2.5. Enter values in the text box as shown below:
