Confidence Interval Explorers

Use the confidence interval explorers to select a study sample size to obtain an interval estimate with prespecified characteristics. Explore the impact of sample size on the margin of error of an interval estimate. You can also explore sample size requirements for:

confidence, prediction, or tolerance intervals for one mean

confidence intervals for two means

confidence intervals for one or two proportions

confidence intervals for one or two variances

For interval estimation, select DOE > Sample Size Explorers > Confidence Intervals:

Confidence Interval for One Sample Mean

Confidence Interval for One Sample Proportion

Confidence Interval for One Sample Variance

Confidence Interval for One Sample Counts per Unit

Confidence Interval for Two Independent Sample Means

Confidence Interval for Two Independent Sample Proportions

Confidence Interval for Two Independent Sample Variances

Confidence Interval for Two Independent Counts per Unit
